Pretzel Turtles


   If you need an easy sweet treat for a crowd, this is your baby.  It’s very versatile too.  You can use any shape pretzel, any type of chocolate candy, any kind of topper and you can even dip or drizzle them in chocolate.  Here are some ideas: peanut butter cups and top with a reese’s piece, crushed peanuts or a mini nutter butter cookie, peppermint pattie topped with a butter mint, mint m&m, crushed starlight mint, or andes mint candy, any flavor of Hershey’s kiss topped with an m&m, skittle, jelly bean, fruit jelly, mini gummy bear, fresh fruit like a cherry and drizzle with chocolate, red hots.  Let your imagination go wild!  I only had 28 rolos left so that’s why I made 28.  Otherwise, there would have been a whole lot more of these.  Remember, only your imagination limits what you can make.                                                                                  Pretzel Turtles

28 waffle style pretzels (or any style you’d like)

28 Rolo candies, unwrapped (or any chocolate candy)

28 pecan halves (or any topper)

Melted chocolate for dipping or drizzling, if desired

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Place pretzels on a parchment paper lined baking sheet with sides.  Place unwrapped chocolates in the center of each pretzel.  Bake for 3-5 minutes until the chocolate get soft and shiny.  You don’t want them to melt, otherwise you’ll have a mess.  Remove from oven and gently press the pecan half into softened chocolate.  Allow to cool.  Enjoy!
